Guess who’s going back to Manila next week?

H just booked my flight earlier, and it’ll be a flight of firsts: first time aboard a budget airline, first time to go home a married woman, first time to go to Manila just to see my family, first time to leave my husband alone. Aww.

I must say, now pa lang, I’m so excited for all the yummy food that I’ve been missing. Can’t help it, I’m a pinoy at heart. So despite the good food here, my taste buds are still longing for adobo, ginataang manok, lumpiang shanghai, afritada, mmm can’t wait for my mom’s cooking!!!

I’m going back to Manila!

stream of consciousness

have got nothing in particular to blog about, so will just write whatever pops in my mind…just watched alfie; jude law kinda looks like joseph in the amazing race…my husband’s in the shower, all the while telling me about a fantasy he just had a while ago: he’s driving a silver ferrari (not always his car of choice, but my husband’s like the car rainman; he remembers everything)…

it’s cool here in our room now; in fact, i rarely feel hot here in singapore because practically everything’s airconditioned. i have no idea how much our electric bill is. in fact, i have no idea about a lot of things here period. i do know PAP won the elections. i find myself interested in how politics here is. it’s so different from the philippines. the elections came and went with nary a political billboard, streamer, or rows of posters in sight. no artistas in their political rallies, either. eder went here to get ice cream earlier, so did tin and ron yesterday. tin’s pregnant! but she still looks so thin. i wish i could lose weight. but how? the resolve to diet and exercise gets overshadowed by responsibilities, plus all our other activities. i am trying though.

should i go home to the philippines? maybe i should. i was thinking maybe i should surprise my folks. wouldn’t it be great, for me to just ring the doorbell, and they’d see me, surprise! i miss them so much. i also miss a lot of things in the philippines. i miss getting to drive. i wouldn’t like to drive all the time, but driving gives me a nice feeling, knowing i can get from one place to the next without having to worry about how i’ll get there, vehicle-wise. my sister called me yesterday, whoopee! i think she might have been disappointed with how i sounded though; in retrospect, i think i must have sounded quiet, and low-key, and not excited to hear from her. the truth is that i had to go out of the room since we were watching a movie yesterday and i went out so as not to disturb the rest. also, i’ve had this cold that’s made my voice sound weird. i think my cold’s pretty much gone away today. at least i hope so. i hate having a cold. i remember when i used to have a cold and cough when i was still working, and it was terrible. i would have to cough and cough and blow my nose and make lots of awful noise. thing is, i used to work in a small office that would get pretty quiet so any little noise could be heard. i kinda miss going to work, and i also don’t miss going to work. i get to wake up late. well, which just makes sense, since H and I have been going to sleep at 2 or 3 in the morning for the past few nights. we’ve got to break that habit and go back to our normal sleeping hours..maybe around 12 or 1 am will do.

we’ve been watching stuff on youtube.com and vidilife.com and it’s hilarious. i love those sites, it gives us things to watch here in our room. we watch wrestling, bloopers, mad tv, anything funny we run across. i wonder how those people get the videos that they upload, since a lot of them are already pretty old. even the sitcom perfect strangers is there. hello, my name is cousin larry appleton, how are you? do you remember that episode? the one where larry got amnesia and balki had to teach him stuff to help him remember? haha. bah, if you’ve gotten this far in the babble i’ve written, i salute you. you must not have ADD. heh. hold on, gotta perform a crime at project mobster. it’s this mafia game that H and i have been playing together. pretty nonsensical, but it keeps us occupied, haha. we’re like, yay, we got to do a train heist, yay, we stole $148 from the local bank, yay, we stole a porsche carrera from the dealership. so funny. yeah, so this is how my mind goes; i always have thoughts that veer off into strange directions. sometimes i’d be thinking of something and i’d get distracted and my mind would wander off. duh. ok, enough of this, i’ve bored you enough.
